- Eminem Presents the Re-Up Release Date: December 05, 2006 – A mixtape that was originally planned to be released on the underground circuit, The Re-Up has plenty of that serious heat that influenced Eminem to go aboveground with the release. There's the surging remix of 50 Cent's "Ski Mask Way," the excellent all-star single "You Don't Know," a couple clever redo's of Akon's "Smack That" single with various members of the Shady family, and "There He Is" with newcomer Bobby Creekwater living up to his hype over a rich Alchemist beat. Tacked onto the end is Eminem's shining moment, "No Apologies," which speaks to his frozen heart, then lashes out at critics.

- Curtain Call: The Hits Release Date: December 06, 2005 – Curtain Call: The Hits is Eminem's fifth major label release, being a greatest hits album. It was released on December 6, 2005. The album contains three new songs: "Fack", "Shake That", and "When I'm Gone." The album has debuted at #1 in the UK Albums Chart, after only being given 2 sales days to chart, in a similar fashion to his previous album Encore. It also gave Eminem his fourth straight #1 album in the U.S. The title of the album sparked rumors that Eminem was planning to end his rapping career; there have been no official statements to this effect, but Eminem has acknowledged the possibility that this may be the last Eminem release. The booklet in the album contains pictures from throughout Eminem's career, including him performing at the Grammy Awards of 2001 with Elton John, a group shot of D12, an image from the video for "Superman", the cover of The Marshall Mathers LP, and images previously featured in the booklets from his past albums.

- Encore Release Date: November 12, 2004 – The album Encore features substantially more production from Dr. Dre than The Eminem Show, which was mostly produced by Eminem and longtime collaborator Jeff Bass. Many critics panned Encore as Eminem's most mediocre effort, referring to its second-rate production and lyricism, especially in comparison to his previous albums. As well, many fans felt that his skill and style were not present in the album, with songs like 'My 1st Single' and 'Big Weenie' considered some of the worst songs made by Eminem in his career. Eminem stated in interviews that he no longer knows what he wants to do in his career, and many fans saw this in the album. "Encore" was nominated at the Grammy Awards of 2006 for Best Rap Album, but lost to Kanye West's Late Registration. It was Eminem's first major album not to win this award, since The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show all won it in the year they were released.

- Eminem Show Release Date: May 26, 2002 – The Eminem Show is Eminem's third album after signing to a major label, Aftermath Entertainment. It was intended to be released in June 2002, but Interscope decided to release the album early on May 28 when pirated copies of the tracks began to pop up on popular peer-to-peer file sharing networks. In the U.S. however, many stores actually began selling on Sunday, May 26. The Eminem Show is a reflective album; Eminem touches on the issues of race in hip hop, especially in the second track on the album, "White America", his childhood, especially in "Cleanin' Out My Closet", his conviction for assaulting a nightclub bouncer in 2000, his status as a rap superstar, and his relationship with his ex-wife Kim and daughter Hailie. Unlike The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show's release came off without allegations of misogyny or homophobia. This is likely due to the fact that Eminem only uses the word "fag" once in the entire album and no tracks are potentially offensive in the mold of "Kill You" or "Kim" on the previous album. The Eminem Show was the best-selling album of 2002, with 7.6 million copies by year end. At the Grammy Awards of 2003 it was nominated for Album of the Year and became Eminem's third straight LP to win the award for Best Rap Album. In 2003, the album was ranked number 317 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

- Marshall Mathers LP Release Date: May 23, 2000 – The Marshall Mathers LP is the sophomore major-label album from American rapper Eminem. The bulk of the album was written in Amsterdam, with producer Dr. Dre holding a telephone to his speakers so Eminem could hear the beats. "The Real Slim Shady," the first single and a huge hit, was written back in the United States, as the deadline neared and no radio-friendly singles were yet written. In the week following its release, it sold 1.7 million copies, becoming the fastest-selling rap album in history at that time. While it received a great deal of critical praise, its enormous success also provoked a backlash from dissenting critics and social activists, most notably GLAAD, who protested Eminem's use of the word "fag" in several songs. Others claimed that the rapper's lyrics were extremely misogynistic, an allegation that generally centered on the songs "Kill You" and "Kim."

- Slim Shady LP Release Date: February 23, 1999 – Upon joining Aftermath Entertainment, Eminem released The Slim Shady LP, which would eventually be certified 4x platinum. "My Name Is" was the first single off the album. Upon its release, there were several complaints about The Slim Shady LP's lyrical content. The song "Guilty Conscience" (the album's second single) ends with Eminem and Dr. Dre encouraging a man to murder his wife and her lover. "Guilty Conscience" was also the birth of Dr. Dre and Eminem's powerful and beloved duo. In "'97 Bonnie & Clyde," Eminem raps about disposing of his wife's body while his baby daughter rides along in his car, which the album cover alludes to. Most songs feature substantial amounts of swearing, numerous references to sex and drugs, and over-the-top, cartoonish descriptions of violence. Fans of the album have generally defended it by saying that the lyrics are not meant to be taken seriously. Eminem himself has referenced "Slim Shady" as an exaggerated persona. Dr. Dre produced both singles on the album ("My Name Is" and "Guilty Conscience") and also produced "Role Model". The rest of the album was produced by the Bass Brothers for the Detroit-based FBT Productions. In 2003, the album was ranked number 273 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. This was five years after the magazine gave it only three and a half stars out of five in its review.
